While this may be true..there are also plenty of people who dont vote down the line for any party. For instance, i know one person who votes democrat for president and senate and house of reps but republican for more local offices primarily because he wants to keep his property taxes as low as possible

Independent, and I have no idea why anymore. Right around the time I became registered is when the Tea Party rose to prominence and the GOP got taken over completely by madmen and sociopaths, so I've only voted Democrat on the federal level.

Then you are probably Unaffiliated. You can check your status online though if you want to. Might be worth it in case you ever want to vote in a primary election
