damn thats why if i were to attend a PWI, i would rather go to all the Black parties then some White frat parties. why go to a social event where i'm surrounded by people that hate me.

Hell yeah! I went to one white frat party at ST John's. Worst mistake of my life. I was there for 45 minutes. In those 45 minutes I literally saw cocaine for the first time; and two ambulances were called. Never again :snoop:

How big do you mean? Percentage wise or overall?

If I had a list it would be like

1) Temple University ( Homecoming lit)
2) Rutgers University
3) ST. John's university ( I can tell you everything from Carribean clubs, African clubs, Black business clubs, black law clubs, NAACP, Black student union, Divine nine organizations; and the women.
4) Troy University
5) Baruch college ( Could be tough if you're African American)
6) maybe Hofstra university ( the area is good for black people)
One of those schools in my alma mater :jawalrus:

bro it's his choice that he wants to go to such a school. he just wants to feel comfortable, and be around his people. you sound very ignorant and you sound like a c00n, you probably think HBCU's can't prepare you for the real world.

no. I don't think that they can if they shelter black students from the real world.

if a black person gets a job in the professional world(unless its Atlanta or a government job), they are more than likely to be one of a handful black people or the only black person in the entire company. that's the reality of the world.

if you go to HBCU because you want to feel comfortable around "people like you", you getting too used to some comfort zone that will never happen for the rest of your professional career.

I have attended black professional network events, and this feeling of never seeing another black person in their company is the number one complaint that I hear from black professionals.

moreover, networking with white people will lead to better job opportunities after college. Most companies have diversity initiatives that they are trying to meet. Who is going to get hired? The black guy with white friends that work for Facebook, or the guy who went to an Hbcu and limited himself to isolated network?
