Basic thuganomics is a Canibus line

Other than the obvious sh1t like Snoop, Jay-z, etc that everyone listened to, those super lyrical east coast rappers seem like what Cena was into, so that makes sense.

Eminem (battle rapper gimmick right as 8 Mile hit)

His live rapping was pretty much ALL in that 8 Mile "freestyle" cadence. Tbh, pretty much what Max Caster does now. Overly awkward set up rhyme with a punchline. I guess it works on a walk to the ring... but it's all basically Eminem and Xzibit in the parking lot.
