the event: the pop out
the moment: Jadakiss scorching the Earth
for everything Jadakiss hasn't done in his career (i.e. classic album, longevity in terms of how many really good albums he has, etc.), in that moment, you didn't care and if you still wanna consider him a GOAT, we'd understand. The part that was almost as big as Jada setting the crowd on fire was that stretch where Juelz said they ain't make songs for women and then the Lox shut that shyt up quick.
The Pop Out was bigger for LA than the Verzuz was for NY and the Pop Out event will have a more lasting event (it's the culmination of the biggest diss track ever and the springboard for what will likely be album of the year at the Grammys-- and low key the moment where if you didn't think Tyler was THAT major, now you know). It also edges out because we don't know what else can come from that Pop Out because there were a lot of regional /guys still working their way up. The Verzuz closed a chapter in our lives because out of everyone from that Verzuz, the only one who still raps consistently is Jim Jones who's one foot out the door with Dipset and Jadakiss to a lesser extent (he still kills features, but it's pretty clear he has other stuff he wants to get into besides just rapping all the time).
