Which southern state and/or city has the best BBQ?

I guess it depends on what specific type of BBQ you favor most.

I like brisket so ill say Texas.

Last time i was in Dallas i saw a bunch of people in line at this spot called Pecan Lodge, hopped my ass in line myself to see what the hype was about

Man that Brisket plate was so mf good

Spent the rest of the afternoon in an itis coma like snorlax.

Ive been told that Austin's brisket is even better.

I did some work in central Texas and had the best brisket ever, hands down. They know to make sausage too, but like you said no sauce, it’s not needed tho.

I think second on my list is KC.

I like my BBQ from small family run joints that run out of meat.

Yes...that's the best (and worst ). Best spots have a line out the door and you know they'll run out of brisket and hot links by noon. Only thing left is potato salad and BBQ chicken.

Yeah Pecan Lodge is no joke...they have a new spot down there (don't remember the name) that some think is better.

Lots of good stuff in Austin. Some like Kreuz, others like Black's or Smitty's.

Franklin's is said to be the best but I gotta try that out.

I just went to Austin and the BBQ was really good.

I wish I tries a beef rib while I was there.

I had brisket and pork rib, both were really good. But I got a fatty cut of brisket, so that filled me up very quickly.

The sides were really good too.
