To begin addressing this public health problem, it is important to know where obesity is concentrated in the US. One study took a look at the top 100 most populated cities in the country to answer this question. Researchers counted people who identified as obese or overweight and considered 14 other points as well. These additional points included questions about physical activity, consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, problems with high blood pressure, and instances of diabetes

More hand waving.:russell: keep denying into your graves.
Breh if you go to the doctor and you're obese - he is not going to say you need to stop driving to lose weight :dead: he gonna be like eat less, move more. It's almost like how vegans try to connect eating meat with being obese :camby: the connection is there because the vast majority of people --thin or fat -- eat meat so of course obese people will also be meat eaters.
Obese people drive cars :leon: so driving a car is the #1 reason folks obese :heh:

:wtf: 0 data? Are you really going off that one article to prove driving cars -- not eating too many calories while living a sedentary lifestyle - is causing obesity breh? That's like someone saying using elevators instead of stairs is the #1 factor causing obesity :mindblown:

It prolly has to do with a number of factors:

lack of education
Being poor
Diet
Infrastructure
Habits

In the developed world food scarcity is not a problem but access to healthy food and education about eating habits are. You see this same problem not only in the US but also in europe. Immigrant families and poorly educated people will a lot of times only be able to afford highly processes foods and fast food chains and the lack of education will not help them maintain healthy eating habits.

also the US is a vast country and an exception in which the poor can afford cars so because of the infrastructure or lack thereof, they will not excercise enough to burn off the calories they consume on daily basis.

if anything i think its more of a problem of education, economy and bad eating habits.

I would really love to know how Uber eats and other delivery apps influences this.
