- The Undertaker, along with John Laurinaitis, helped get Lord Tensai rehired by WWE. Tensai, aka Matt Bloom, has reached out to the company several times over the years but nothing came of it until Creative came up with the idea of a henchman for Laurinaitis' onscreen character. Undertaker and Laurinaitis, both of whom are friends with Bloom, urged that he be rehired.

So Taker is to blame for this shyt....this is what his 6th or 7th push
why won't WWE get it no matter his name Lord Tensai, Giant Bernard, A-Train, Prince Albert.....Matt Bloom will never ever be a fukking draw

I figured those two would be in the mix. Lauranitis has Japan connections and Taker was desperate as fukk trying to get Albert over in 03

The IWC is funny though. Y'all were giving Albert props the whole time he was in Japan, and soon as he gets a WWE push he's back to being shyt.

I never hyped him up but the bolded is his fault though or whoever told him to wrestle like he does now with all those taunts and pauses in the ring. He was much much faster in japan.

Him beating punk and cena is suppose to make people care but I still don't because I know those wins don't mean anything for real.

I remember all the hype before he came back, I was real excited to see the improvements he had made. He seems pretty much the same to me though.

I'm giving the gimmick time, been a slow start though.

Pfft, Tensai/Albert will be fine. Remember how long it took for Umaga to get over with his stereotypical-ass gimmick?

That's the only reason why I won't call Tensai a failure yet. This isn't the first time someone came out with a completely different gimmick meant to be taken seriously

Every single time I saw Umaga I was like :childplease: "man that's just Jamal w/ face paint"....yet he somehow eventually made it work, and was seen as an actual threat

Wait, actually I take back what I said. Tensai's screwed because if he doesn't catch on, he'll be released, and if he does...

well, the hammer's gonna literally come down on old dude, if you get me...

Yeah as Shadow said, Tensai was good in Japan because he was so much bigger than most of his opponents and could throw them around and he didn't have this bullshyt ''deliberate'' pace. He was also in there with better workers.:yeshrug:

Dude seems to be slower and fatter by the week.

I appreciate the old-school value of the gimmick, but the guys attire is kinda garish (no homo) and makes him look like a joke character. And the clawhold/mist combo...I don't even know WHAT to think about that shyt.
