So i work at a group home for teens where they swear all day, say nikka, inappropriate language and conversations etc.

Our job is to tell them to stop, correct them and shyt. Now this admin lady is white and was in the staff office talking to another white coworker talking about one of the kids being upset about something and was like "he got upset and said fukk you, nikka this nikka that"now I'm far but heard this and I didnt run over and ask her to repeat herself or anything or tell her I'm uncomfortable but am I tripping for caring this much and inb4 yall kill me for not speaking up

I mean if one of them kids calls you a ******, are you gonna hit him & ruin your career?

Even if it was a normal office all I would do is head to HR. Other places I would just record them and contact the police (I’m in the UK).

Idk honestly, I was like damn I should have but they would have tried to defend themselves on some stupid shyt and I'd look like the angry black man but I always tell the kids to chill with the N word cause it's my job but that shyt really threw me off. plus she always refers to it as N word so she probably thought I went home or something

Na I wouldn't put my hands on them ever. There was one kid who loved saying ****** and thought it was funny but never called me it.
