True, I actually learned in an extensive sexual health class I had to take that you're more than likely to catch an STD or STI from someone you're in a committed relationship with due to the idea that if you trust someone you don't have to use a condom as opposed to not trusting = using a condom. A lot of people with HIV or AIDS contracted it from someone they were in a serious relationship with, the idea that being promisicuous = more likely to catch an STD is pretty ridiculous, when the main factor in most cases is lack of protection

They do, it's my main gripe with feminism and why I completely distanced myself from it. A lot of women use it as a means to "deal" with their issues or try to project them on to others to "deal with" instead of getting help from them

I suffer from bipolar and one of the most common things amongst people with bipolar during periods of many is engaging in self destructive behaviors, one being promiscuity. And I used to fall into that "anti-slut shaming" category, mostly because I felt personally attatacked until I finally started to deal with my problems by seeking a professional and not pseudo feminist talking points to "console" myself. There's nothing to gain from being promiscuous, it leaves you feeling worthless, used, lowers your self esteem even more etc makes it even harder to be taken serious etc there's nothing positive that comes from it, at all and it hurts me as someone who was like that to see other women telling other women it's okay and some how empowering when it definitely doesn't make you feel empowered, in the least. It's a dangerous self destructive cycle that just creates more self esteem and mental health problems that led to it in the first place
