The Garden district, in New Orleans, what most consider uptown is the wealthiest neighborhood in the city, and the state for that matter. There are no confederate monuments in those neighborhoods. This is where the old, old money is in the city, but its peculiar they don't have any statues or street names in honor of confederate leaders . I'll have to do more research on this topic to see why that is.
