White lady at the grocery store tried to play me

I went and got my weekly groceries and I always go in this store she going to say

Cashier: Your total is 33.60

So I try to swipe my card she says EBT?

I looked at her Debit

The crazy thing is I've never paid with EBT why would she even ask me this?

When you tried to swipe your card, did you hit any button that would have made it beep? B/c usually with EBT you have to swipe your card and hit a button to select EBT. So maybe she was just assuming. Either way she should've just asked, "debit or credit?"

see this the problem. the EBT card looks too much like a debit card. cats with the EBT are looking a little too proud to be on assistance. at least with the food stamp book, you had to rip the stamps out the book and the stamps were brown, purple and green, so they didn't even come close to resembling actual money.
