In Drama class in college, we were on the subject of blackface and my teacher, who was Caucasian, started talking about how the way blacks talk today was invented by whites who wore blackface, and he said it in a proud way, like that was something to be proud about, that the whites demeaned us with a subhuman way of speaking that winded up later being fully utilized by African-Americans (not just in the hood either). That stuck with me for weeks after I heard him say that, and it really made me wonder...i dont agree with the subject OP presented, but damn that was a powerful video. i recently did work on the subject of media and social justice and this shyt just resonates with me. White America wasn't ready to hear Spike Lee's voice, and they still aint ready now
