He's half right though, the pocket QB is going no where.

That W had nothing to do with Flacco being a pocket passer. It had to do with him having all day to throw and the 9ers secondary being complete garbage. What this has to do with pocket vs. athletic/running QB is beyond me.

'cism never follows sound reasoning.

:russ:@ calling this "pocket vs. athletic/running QB" tho ...as if it's an advantage to have a QB that's unable to escape and scramble.

Who are these running qbs with a short shelf life?

Where is the proof other than the media repeating this baseless myth?

Who are these guys with a short shelf life?

Kaepernick is the full package brehs. He's a black quarterback and a white quarterback all rolled into one. Hybrid excellence.

Exactly, it's typical of these idiots. All they do is repeat what they heard in the media from guys like Mike and Mike or Uncle Tom Jackson. Pocket passers get hurt all the time. Acting like we didn't see Alex Smith miss games or Big Ben or Cutler in the past couple of seasons. Like Schaub didn't get hurt last season. Kolb got hurt in Philly, just like Vick. Most of Vick's injuries occurred in the pocket. He bruised his ribs scrambling in 2010 against the Redskins, that's the only injury I can recall for him that occurred outside the pocket. We saw Palmer play 4 games one year. Tony Romo played 6 games in 2010. Brady missed a whole season. This is football, people get hit and hurt whether they are in the pocket or not.

They can't point out the "running" QBs that had a short shelf life yet.

It makes no sense. People repeating unsubstantiated beliefs doesn't make it a quantifiable truth.

Where is the proof?

Why can't they name names?
