The ones that got on had respect because either they worked hard at their craft (Eminem), or came up in the hood, so it was just natural for them.
This new crop of white rappers are your average internet browsing white kid that thinks of it as a way to get girls and look cool.
The lack of gatekeepers, and rules in hip hop has made it so that ANYBODY can do this.
You talent (or lack thereof) doesnt matter.
This is what Hip Hop deserves though.
Selling out is the way of this generation...and actually caring about the music is seen as seen being lame.
