That has always been a racist ass city. Didn't some guy back in the 80s-90s kill his wife and try and throw the blame? Cops were all on board with harrasment.

Charles Stuart around 1989. He killed his pregnant wife, and phoned it in as a robbery. His brother tipped the cops off that his brother was never robbed, and then Charles hopped off the Tobin Bridge. There's a really good Rescue 911 episode on it. You get to hear the bullshyt 911 call where he refused to help the cops find his car.
