She funny and cute, Im bout to stalk her real quick.
cosign. i wasnt complaiing though, just thought it was interesting. How is anyone surprised at these things? Most hip-hop fans are white. Major-label hip-hop albums are not marketed to Black people- they're marketed to white people, by a mostly white structure of record and advertising execs. The idea that Black people are somehow in control of or have ownership of hip-hop right now is a complete fantasy, since the only Black element of hip-hop is the face of the artist and some of the content of their music, which of course is ultimately produced and edited for a mainstream (majority-white) audience anyway. Black opinions on hip-hop, unless they're lending Black credibility to an artist for white marketing purposes, are worthless from the standpoint of the industry. In short, outrage over things like this just means you need to get your head out of the ground- hip-hop isn't yours, and hasn't been for a long time. You can do something about it, but complaining about some white women reviewing Yeezus is just sad.
