I don't assume some of you 'fukkery' addicts even know what that means, but it means doing 'bad guy stuff' in the ring, to the crowd, and wrestling like your the bad guy, getting heat, to make the babyface look good and for the crowd to want THEM to win. Its fighting dirty. Its cheating. Its taunting the crowd. Its FLAIR. Its SID. Its 97 bret. Its hollywood hogan. This has nothing to do with mic work.

Ziggler, for example, is a great general worker, but IMO is a bad heel worker because his moveset is too flashy.

Ryback is awful as a babyface in ring, and is much better as a heel because of his power moves and taunts.

Mizzark is outstanding as a monster heel in ring.

Top 5:

  • CM Punk (vs. Cena and vs. taker this years are most recent examples of mastery)
  • Randy Orton (last night was best example) is much better as a heel in ring, even though he does best well.
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Dean Ambrose (he's gonna be punk status eventually)
  • Antonio Cesaro (he's better all around than these other guys but AS A HEEL the other 4 are more effective...save thing with Daniel Bryan before you say anything).
Jericho would be #5 if active

I always felt like Cena COULD work well as a heel, if they ever made that switch....

Was going to post Punk, Orton and Ambrose also. They just get "it" and have a good knack at doing the little heelish things that make you want to see them lose. I always use 96 Austin/97 Bret as a base as I found they knew how to sell as a heel, work their offence as a heel, and piss the crowd off all at the same time. Orton is easily the best right now when he performs the way he did last night. Have not seen that in years.

I have trouble with buying Lesnar and Cesaro as working heels sometimes because they both do such incredible things (ie: risky aerial moves in Lesnar's case, power moves in Cesaro's case) during the match that I find sort of deflates the crowd's heat toward them. For example last night when Cesaro does the giant swing, the crowd was in awe and cheered it on.

I'd actually put Miz on the list, as I find his demeanor/smug face and move set he utilizes have people against him instantly. Sandow also works a solid heel role.

I want to say ADR, but it's so few and far between. Last time he generated any REAL in-match heat was when they did the double turn with Dolph at Payback. If he was more consistent with it he'd be up there.

Brock Lesnar. He's just ruthless and stiff as hell out there and always has a sick smirk on his face while bringing the pain. I don't like John Cena, but Brock had me feeling sorry for him in their match together. That was one of the rare PPV matches where the fans were firmly in Cena's corner.

Top 3 for me right now:

1) Punk 'cause he's at his best when he's a heel and he's a step above everyone else when he's motivated (Taker, Cena, Straight Edge Society, Hardy, etc)
2) Orton. He did a great job last night, from the opening promo to the match with Bryan to the fukk finish.
3) Ambrose has it all. With his intensity, movements, facial expressions, promos he reminds me of Pillman and Punk.

Special mentions for Bryan when he's a heel and Heyman, Lesnar, HHH and HBK as they're not active wrestlers. Especially the insincere a$$hole HBK of the past two weeks.

I give my #1 spot to Brock Lesnar because he really presents himself as an insurmountable monster that will fukk up the good guy at a moment's notice. During his match vs Punk and back in the day against Eddie and RVD, he really made me feel like :sadbron::sadbron:Don't hurt my heroes Brock... don't bully my heroes :to:. Which makes it that much more meaningful when the good guys actually get over on him.

Guys like Jack Swagger just do moves with no heel psychology, need to step their game up.
CM Punk is hard for me to give the in-ring heel nod to, because all the shyt he did against Taker for example got cheers... stealing the Old School, hitting Taker with the urn and shyt like that is too cool, so it's not heelish to me in this day and age. He should have done more low-down shyt trying to screw Undertaker over and just been disrespectful like when he dumped the ashes on him. I love seeing him Piledrive Cena, but it's not a heel move because it's giving the marks what they want.

Current Roster:
1. Brock Lesnar
2. Dean Ambrose
3. Christian

4. Luke Harper?

Maybe Brodus will be on this list soon, when he reverts to his monster gimmick... changing his finisher back to "The Fall of Humanity" :wow:

P.S. I did not include Randy because I didn't watch TLC / haven't seen him work heel in a big one-on-one match recently.
