If doing right by Embiid (in this case, sendjng him to the Knicks for a fraction of the value) costs you your job, what's the point?
RJ, Mitch, IQ, Obi and 4-5 firsts isn’t a fraction of what OKC can offer though. Chet, Dort and what, 8 firsts? Isn’t THAT more enticing imo.

It's all in how you value existing talent vs. the unknown. RJ's on a big deal. We know what Mitch is and Obi and IQ are extension eligible; Obi won't get one but IQ is looking at $90-$100 mil. The Knick package is for teams who wanna trade someone but hope that your pieces cause you to bounce back sooner. The OKC pick is blowing it up around Chet and enough picks to give you unlimited options.

Sign and Trade for Porzingis in the deal have them include Beal for Randle, Grimes, D Rose, Fournier and two protected picks. Sorry but Grimes got to go. This Heat/Celtics series show me that if we had a real SG offensive threat the Knicks would be playing Boston now. Averaging 5 points in the playoffs ain't cutting it.
nikka, what+??

2nd best team in the East , good job Knicks brehs :salute:
This season the Knicks were:

2-4 vs Heat in playoffs, and 3-1 in the regular season

4-1 vs Cavs in playoffs (Randle was hurt and played like trash in the playoffs), and 3-1 in the regular season

1-1 vs Lakers in the regular season

2-0 vs Denver in the regular season

Randle (All Star) got injured in the first series, Quickly (6th man nominee) in the second
Inexperience, injuries, and coaching hurt them in the second round.

Grimes, RJ, and IQ have gradually gotten better every season. The front office has been solid finding and drafting talent. Only question now is Tibs, and Randle.

I'm close to saying running it back and waiting for 2024. I would like to see how these guys developed after their playoff loss. I don't think the separation in the league is as huge some think.
