It's not too crazy if you think about it. Dont forget, Kelz is the one who hindered Joe's career. I think it's cuz of him, Joe went independent.

Joe makes good classic R&B, but Kells is the king without a doubt - great classic r&b your parents can love, updated r&b with the 90's/00's sound, tugged out r&b, sex songs, inspirational joints, he produces his own shyt and HITS for others (maxwell's fortunate is a GOAT song of all time), he writes his music, dude even sounded nice (for that era) rapping. Even tho he fell off, he's still the KING. (same way MJB is still the Queen even tho she's not really making noise either)

Joe is a better vocalist. Basically a smoother r.Kelly with the vocals. A 2.0 version.

He makes good music, but he really doesn't have too many legendary songs as R.Kelly.

The talent gap is close, but the output of quality work is wider.

R Kelly was definitely intimidated by Joe which is why Joe was finding it hard to get radio play.
