while i was looking in that thread about the new brother ali tape, i realized that this has become common place nowadays. it took awhile, but i'm glad that it returned. i know ice cube and the bomb squad started it on amerikkkas most wanted, and then kool g rap and sir jinx(i know, trackmasters only produced a few) did it some years later on live and let die, but who were the one's that started it back up again? if i can remember right, it was gza and muggs, but i'd like to know if there were any that i missed?

It never left the underground scene IMO. If anything, 9th Wonder reinvigorated it a bit in the mid 00s. Alchemist is currently holding it down.
