Not a single one of those artists fit into the "y'all just new n!ggas" theme he was going for...he mentioned a couple of 90's legends, flipping Jay's Marcy line to include himself...then rattled off a list of names of "newer" acts that he's friends with but feels like he's competing with...all the names listed in the OP are from the era preceding Kendrick, and would make no sense if mentioned in the verse...hell, the only person that should be geniunely salty about that verse are nyc rappers that feel a way about him claiming king of their city and Pusha T who's been in the game for over a decade, damn near 40 and has like 4 or 5 albums under his belt getting grouped in with rookies
