At this point it really is an "Anyone but Roman" deal going on.

...a question I've been asking through this entire Reigns situation. :jbhmm:

When everyone was clamoring for Daniel Bryan to get the belt, we got "Yes" chants & "Dan-iel Bry-an" chants during The Authority promos and whenever the crowd got bored.

The Raw after Wrestlemania, you had Reigns come and get booed. Fair enough...but he also clearly asked who wanted the belt. Guys came out, but there never seemed to be any kind of favorite.

Ambrose? Nowhere on the show and not a single "We Want Ambrose". Almost didn't notice that he wasn't there until someone brought it up.

I might sound like a broken record, but:

When the people wanted Sting, they chanted it.

When they wanted Flair, they chanted it.

Even when the children want Cena, they say it.

When they want Sasha, they say it. When they want Bayley, they SANG it.

It's clear they don't want Roman... :francis:

...but they don't REEEEEEEALLY want the other guys for real either. :ld:

Maybe they'll want Wyatt? :leon:

Thats because WWE bookers have made the general fans think the only important people in the company are Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Roman Reigns because they are the only guys who aren't subject to the 50/50 trade wins back and forth booking. Maybe Rollins too but he's out. Ambrose is over as hell considering the fact that he almost never wins big matches. You can't expect casual fans and kids to clamor for these guys who are treated like midcard talents in the booking. It took D-Bry years to build up that kind of goodwill with the fanbase.

there's no Bryan or Punk who everyone collectively wants. You have guys like Bray, Cesaro, Ambrose and Zayn who the fans cheer for but WWE can book them in a losing streak tomorrow and nothing about the show would change, you book Bryan in a losing streak in 2013/14 or Punk in 11 and fans hijack the show. I guess you can say AJ is unanimously over but he's certainly not on that level.

That's why the Roman situation is funny, like Cena before him he's getting the strongest reactions so it'd be wise to keep the belt on him and let him rock as a heel unlike Cena.

I think Cesaro is gonna be super hot this year with fans...AJ will stay over and we'll see how it goes with Seth.

Last time Lesnar and Heyman got really booed out next to a couple of Taker promos was when Heyman tried to make it seem like Bryan didn't deserve to be in the league of getting a title shot with Lesnar. That got booed out hard post Rumble 2015...lol.

For me gotta be KO, we know he has the in ring ability to put on consistent quality and varied matches as well as the personality to make things exciting regardless of who he comes up against.

As long as they don't make him spit the "I'm not a bad guy, I'm not a good guy" line EVERY TIME he gets a mic I don't mind a heel-leaning Reigns holding the belt while they build someone for a real pay-off.

My guess is it eventually gets dropped to a returning Seth Rollins and then bounces between Shield members for a few PPVs.

AJ, Zayn, Owens etc should realistically need a year or so to build some more. Keep it between Shield members for a year and then transition angles towards one of these three to get the big pay-off at WM33.

Agreed and I think it really has to happen at some point, otherwise Bray's character is in danger of losing all credibility. If cult heel stables don't really dominate, it's hard to take them seriously for very long.

And yeah, enough already with The Authority being involved in the title picture. fukk that shyt.

Reigns is fine for now. If Lesnar were a full-timer he's always great as a dominant heel champ.

But a Bray run could be pretty dope and that's the direction I'd go in.
His best Promo was the one he cut about mitb title match
