I will say RZA but the actuality it is Jay-Z to me.

His navigation skills, his immaculate network moves, ie. Tru-Life being thrown out there like a dusty pawn. He also learnt Chess from his pops and shouted out Bobby Fischer,

I hear Masta Killa, GZA and Method Man are great at Chess. Meth is an avid book reader too so it is clear he on some 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' sh1t with his skills.

Who have you got? :lupe:

I think Nas learnt Chess recently and is doing a TV Series on the first black International Chess Grand-master 'Maurice Ashley'

I stay on the 64 squares, while patrolling the center/ Trading space from material, the time zone, I enter / It’s calculated by movement, from pushed pieces / Advancements and development, once the pawn reaches/ To 8th ranked, now heavily armed with a tank/My opponent’s base is threatened, soldiers cut with shanks / Moved all my small pieces, MC’s are driven back / Unable to avoid capture from the attack Such movement, is naturally quite unsound / Men is badly placed upon dangerous grounds/ Loosening their position, before they were strongly posted / Before the double rooks had approached it / They must of been quick to ignore the principles /Rock a V and an effective God is invincible / A strategic plan, just the way I envisioned it/ Many fallen soldiers in complete imprisonment - GZA

Those who are trying to get motivated to learn Chess, here's a Jay-Z dart.

Poppa raised me to chess moves
And though you’re gone I’m not bitter you left me prepared
We got divided by the years, but I got it from here
Don’t sweat that, sounds bump from Marcy to Lefrak
To that pocket in DC where my man caught his death at
Over my years I’ve seen Rooks get tooken by the Knight
Lose they Crown by tryna defend a Queen
Checkmate, in 4 moves the Bobby Fischer of rap

Rza
Gza

Then whoever else you wanna put here. But ain't no real way of knowing since most rappers prolly wouldn't even want it known that they play chess on sum weird shyt 😂

:russ:

You really think so?

I find most men pretend they know how to play Chess it is the ultimate barbarian warrior machismo type game without drawing blood you can play.

GZA is all the way deep in it, a true master of it he does tournaments and stuff. One of Nas's last video 'rare' was all about Chess. In fact it reminded me I need to level up and take in Chess. The old school dudes don't respect a Man who can't play Chess. There are hiphop chess tournaments lol, If you ever master Chess I believe it will improve every aspect in ones life.

RZA and GZA are legitimately good. Like I’ve seen games between them broadcast during chess tournaments

Oh I thought so. I picked them too because they are both Chess heads and GZA is deep with it.

I just gave the slight edge to RZA because he has applied his Chess moves to greater fruition in terms of receipts but GZA said 'You keep your plans silent'. Life is a long mile so for sure these two seem supreme.

Shout out to Jay-Z though because he has prowess and put the Chess attributes to full use like only a few ever did.

Ive heard Masta Killa is nicer in chess than RZA and GZA actually

I know him and Method Man are also very big Chess enthusiasts.

I know very little of how to play Chess which is a damn shame! It is one of three things I wish people thought I was dope at lol.

I might have to learn with the little kids and I hear you can learn from start online too.

They love making chess metaphors and purporting the whole "This is chess, not checkers" phrase to make shyt sound good but mfs ain't out here talking about they like to employ the use of Queen's Gambit or that they start with d4 to destroy their opponent or sum shyt

And I was going to say GZA over RZA, but I didn't only because he already took the L to Bobby Digital at that tournament they did way bacc when lol

That's true. I am hoping to get some Chess skills myself because the young ones are playing Chess and their cerebral game is on-point. They are really applying themselves into life. Most of the Wu are Chess head it seems.

I see Tyler, Andre300, Jay, Nas, Prodigy, that can actually play the game and not pose with it in some rap photography lol.

I know many more MC's play Chess for a fact. I really respect it.

Chess is a great game. My dad and uncles taught it to me, I taught it to my son. To be good you have to be able to see two and three moves ahead, have pattern recognition, creativity, evaluation and calculation... all of which are great attributes to have in the game of life
