I think the Russians are. The other mafias, family is generally off limits - the Yakuza wouldn't, for instance, kill your daughter because they couldn't get to you. The Sicilian mafia wouldn't either - there are strict codes of ethics of that sort that make that sort of thing off-limits. Traditional, honor-based mafias tend to keep the murders towards people in the game.

The Russian mob wouldn't care. If you're in hiding and they know where your daughter is, they'll kill her. If the Mexican cartels know where your daughter is, they'll kidnap her, and send you her fingers and videos of her being raped until you come out of hiding, and then you both die.

I knew a Russian who started getting way deep in it - selling drugs, shipping stolen cars back to Vladivostok, etc. He tried to get me in, and I was like "hell no." The money is great but if fukk up
