while you wait you miss out on software, every device you buy has at least a year warranty so hardware being stable is a non issue.
How can you miss out out games? they will still be there. Granted the online might be dead but that's not missing out on the game. And shytty hardware is still an inconvenience.

waiting to buy hardware to then go back and play games that previously came out is illogical , just buy it new and play the games as they come out
