I want to know if anyone else creates their own instrumental like a DJ by repeatedly pressing rewind on their ipod because the intro to a song is so slick? For example:

Dr Dre - The next episode
Mobb Deep - Trife life
Biggie - Everyday struggle

I do that shyt all the time when I'm walking.

A step further: foreign language rap. That way you get the basic vibe of a full track, but you can't understand the words so it doesn't distract. I have studied to stuff like that.

Been collecting instrumental tapes since 1997. When Jadakiss said 'get a beat tape and a half ounce' i took that serious as an emcee. I have all types of 3rd ave/ african square market bootleg instrumentals in the collection. Purple backs of course. Was sifting thru the stash the other day and noticed I had a CD with all Biggie and Mobb Deep instrumentals from like 2001.
