Eminem and I thought it would be closer but they are both on them goofy novelty slapstick type raps. Fair enough it's alright every now and again but i need those poetic darts and heavyweight bars lifting me out my circumstances. :russ:

Yeah at this point Red was a lot more relaxed with his style of rhyming compared to his early 90’s days

He was still spitting but not aggressive like in his Dare Iz Darkside and Whut Thee Album days

Yup

That’s what Dare Iz Darkside is the Red at his best and The Marshall Mathers LP is Em at his best

Funnily enough I think you would rate Infinite amongst Eminem's best work since you like MMLP. Infinite he was like Nas/AZ with nice slaps on the beats and even had dope hooks. It was music and dope bars. I rate that era.

Yeah he hadn’t found his voice yet in there

That song Tonite was a good song tho

Ironically enough, he does sound my favorite emcee (Masta Ace) on The Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LPs tho

Oh word.

I thought he was more natural to his situaton which was some hardship at the time. They said the SSLP era he was jacking and biting a wh1te rapper named Cage.

I dont know but that's when his slapstick sh1t started kicking in more, that goofy sh1t lol.

Never understood why people thought Eminem Show was his best album. It’s clearly MMLP. Taking yourself more serious doesn’t equal better.

MMLP had the perfect blend of slapstick, over the top lyrics, witty, some substance, and his nasally delivery.
