Mandarin Duck
Majestic and Highfalutin
I did. Very small California town with mostly immigrants. Barely any black people in my classes and none of my neighbors spoke english. My only real complaint is that you don't see people who look like you growing up. I never had any random racist moments by anyone. Been to several quinceanera's growing up.
The only identity issue I struggled with (even to this day) is the feeling you get as a black person when other races enjoy being around you. You can feel like "the black guy" in too many places without c00ning and I don't like that feeling. My dad used to make fun of us for being from the suburbs, like nikka you raised us here.
