Two of my favorite groups.

But the answer is Tribe.

'Kast didn't have anything on their first joint that were as universally loved and worshipped as "Can I Kick It?" and "Bonita Applebum". Those two records alone are still referenced and played like they dropped yesterday. They both had classics on their debuts, but Tribe's were on a different level.

And The Low End Theory, my favorite album of all-time, is easily one of Hip Hop's best albums, period. When you talk about perfect LP's, that project always comes up. It literally shifted culture for the genre. 'Kast dropped a few classic albums in a row, but again, they ain't Tribe.

I like Kast debut more. I feel both sophomore albums wash each other out so a slight edge to Kast for me.

we're talking albums, i think tribe edges them on singles from the first album (and that's more on how they lived after vs pure content) but tribe didn't fully hit their stride until LET IMO, kast's first album is a masterpiece IMO and then they totally switched it up and dropped another masterpiece with ATL. kast wins this easily for me

I'm talking albums.

I said on the debuts, those two songs alone. But Tribe's first album is a straight listen. That's a front to back masterclass on rock and jazz samples, and breakbeats. It was perfect. I love both groups, but musically, Tribe's first three LP's are untouchable.

I played 'Kast's first two albums like crazy. I still do. But they're not on the level of Tribe's for me, at all.
