Who Has Ever Taken An Acting Class? (Did It Help You Become More Outgoing?)

I took drama in the 11TH Grade, but dropped out the class because the teacher would grade strictly . She graded us on stuff that she didn't even give us . However, I think I will take some acting classes again. Because I heard it can help you be more outgoing. So, have you guys ever taken an acting class? I know some people will think it sounds gay, but me as a straight man did it and it helped a little . Even though my field is IT like I said before I wouldn't mind trying acting. Remember you only live once .

I had theatre in high-school too. My teacher wasn't strict on grading but she was strict on things like staying in character(No nervous laughing) and she would call you out if you spoke to low, and she would kind of get on to me in a friendly way about my nervous ticks like rubbing my hands together. I ended up taking her more advanced classes during school.

By the time i graduated I was still kinda shy, but I didn't have any nervous ticks and felt way more comfortable being the center of attention.

I'm still kinda shy too a little. She did tell my mother that the class wasn't for me. However, now since I'm starting to get a little outgoing I'm thinking of doing it again once I relocate. I always wanted to do some acting anyway.
