Yeah take it from me, DONT get some cheap shyt. Because you get to a point where you get so good you wanna upgrade...then you gotta learn all over again

Same. My career got in the way of DJing for a while but I still mix every once in a while just for fun.

The main problem with getting cheaper decks or controllers is that it actually feel cheap when you are using them. It will also lack features you would want later on and it most certainly is a problem sound quality wise both out to speakers or into a recording device.

Im trying to make this my career, I don't have a kid and until a bytch supports what I do I'll be single.

I'm versatile as hell but I feel that isn't enough...

I suggest focusing in on doing weddings and events if you want to support yourself on it. Doing weddings isnt exactly glamarous and you have to play what your told in an order but you can get good money doing it. Its tough to make it a full time job until you get a big name for yourself.

Im trying to just be a tour Dj. I HATE doing weddings cuz that shyt never goes right and the brides stay bytchin about some shyt.

Yeah its bad for a ton of reasons but you can make a chunk of change in one evening/afternoon doing it. Its around summer time so its the season though and you can at least support yourself till you can tour with a group/artist/whatever. A friend of mine cracked this guy for 1,000 to DJ his wedding this past weekend.

Tek are you still on Serato or did you migrate to Traktor?
