What do y'all do, and how'd you get into it?

I have a regular job that gives me the ability to live comfortably, but honestly I wouldn't mind making less money doing something I'd actually enjoy.

I work for a corporation. But my homeboy sells cars.

He grossed 30 k this month. All of it expect living expenses goes back into inventory.
He started out just looking around the web for cheap deals.

He would still work a regular job and make 500 here and there. But now 2 years later this is a all her does. He has how own lot with usually 10-15 cars at a time.

He has his dealer’s license. He has a 100 k credit like with a financial organization. And he’s a fukk up alcoholic and only has a GED.

He put the bottle down and now got focused. Started out with 1000 dollar pay check and now he does what he moves and each year he gets bigger.

What are you into OP?

I like music, film, and comedy. I'd enjoy pursing a career in all 3 honestly but I want to be realistic. At 32 I'm not going to quit my job with dreams of becoming a successful comedian/musician.

But there's also a part of me that feels like I'm using that as an excuse to not pursue what I want.

+Rep for your friends journey.

I think the best idea is to pursue it on the side and push myself enough to at the very least be well enough to live off it.

Thank you.

Take whatever it you want to monetize and run it as a side hustle along side your regular. See if it has legs to bring in some change like the dealer story illustrates. Once it starts rolling the rest will fall into line itself because the motivation takes care of everything.

The issue with the entertainment hustle is its over saturated. You'd have to bring something totally different to the table that people can't replicate and have never seen before ie be you. Thats the rarest thing in this modern world because authenticity is long gone and the barrier to entry is so low because anyone can up a video.

Share some material here. A good laugh is one thing nobody will ever refuse and everyone wants to share as its a great gift.

I can work 32-36 hrs a week and live comfortably. But life just isn't the way I'd like it right now with me having to be on and off work for a variety of reasons.
