Wade's going to the Hall of fame off of a slasher's ability. In his prime, he was the best slasher by far That's my SG who couldn't shoot :to:

Thinking about it, My niigga Dwade is the archetype for that shyt. When I hear about a prospect with great athleticism that can get to the rim with a questionable shot, he gets the 'next Dwade' tag.

Nah, even during his prime the frenchmen was still leading the league in points in the paint.

Wade was more spectacular, but Tony lived in the lane.

Word...I got much respect for Tony.

But wade was just :wow:

I mean, check out some of the highlights in this video

But 99% can't consistently stop
Lebron from getting to the rim almost ever despite the fact that they're literally almost always trying to stop his drives. And Lebron has great body control and balance which is why he's able to absorb contact and still score even though he's usually contending with 3 people trying to stop him.

Lebron is, by far, the most effective player in the league at getting to the rim and making shots when given the ball on the perimeter. It's not even close. Lebron takes more attempts at the rim and is STILL more efficient than the likes of Tyreke Evans. He draws more fouls, is better at getting And 1s and finishing, etc.

Slashing is simply the ability to get to the rim the easiest and that's Lebron. It's not just strength because it's not like Melo, Dwight, or other players who are simply strong can slash like Lebron does.

To keep it simple, I'll put it like this: when it comes to breaking down defenders on the way to the basket, Bron just isn't the best. His primary tools of getting past his defender are his speed and strength. He has no killer crossovers or spins in his arsenal. This isn't to say he isn't good at slashing...IMO he's just not the best doing it right now, nor was he ever the best at doing it.

That's what I mean when I say "body control". Of course, he's one of the best finishers.

Wade when healthy is up there but right now, it has to be Tyreke Evans. 6'6 with AND1 handles and probably the best layup abilities in the league...trying to guard that ain't fair.

Is this real life? Lebron finishes better, absorbs c

But Bron is still probably the most effective dude at getting into the paint because of his freakish speed, size, and strength.

I mean, Jamal Crawford and CP3 are probably better at breaking down defenders but Lebron is still way more effective at slashing than those two.

Entire teams instinctively load up the entire paint and brace themselves for a Lebron drive to an absurd degree. They're literally terrified of it and Lebron is STILL able to get into the paint and finish through people.

I'd agree that their are more acrobatic slashers (Pre-surgery Rose) but more effective is different.
