I'm surprised you didn't put J Cole in the poll.
the problem (to me at least) with j cole is that hes just.. really good at being mediocre? hes like burger king on a road trip. it goes down okay, and you're not hungry for a little while, but you dont remember anything about it. his music is incredibly pedestrian; nothing he's done has ever moved me in any way.

if j cole never existed, rap would be exactly the same as it is now. to me, thats worse than a bad artist. at least you can remember a bad artist.

if j cole was lost in the woods, would anyone go looking for him? i'm not so sure. it would take a few weeks before anyone noticed he was missing, and by then something more interesting would happen.

if hiphop were a spice rack, j cole would be parsley.

I honestly dont think anyone comes close to Fat Joe. Breh caps like its a hobby and he's well aware that everyone knows he's full of shyt. Doesn't even try to sound believable, and it feels intentional.

It seems like Joe gets a rush from telling outlandishly unrealistic stories and seeing all the reactions online, like a gambling addict hitting the jackpot.
