Prolly Redman. In his prime he had to deal with Naughty and then the Fugees
I disagree with you. To some MTV casual fans yeah Naughty and Fugees were more popular. But full body of work Redman is way above those two. I am gonna use a cliche phrase, but Redman was way more real too. Treach lyrically was great too, but fans were starting to figure out that Naughty by Nature were playing a tough guy image in front of the cameras, and Fugees were rasta imposters, like that LL song where he pretty much destroyed Wyclef.

And by the early 00s Naughty by Nature and Fugees were irrelevant already while Redman was still doing his thing.

By the year 2023, more people know who Redman is, than Naughty by Nature/Fugees.

I agree that his relevance lasted way longer than them. But at no point in time was he ever really bigger. Not when they were all really active anyway. Redmans biggest album dropped the same year Lauryn dropped Miseducation

Don’t get me wrong tho. Redman is one of the most respected to ever pick up a mic. Treach definitely has a lot of respect in the streets tho
