The Boston Celtics of the last three years Under head coach joe mazzulla?

The Splash brothers era of the warriors ?

The San Antonio spurs of the early 2010s with their unselfish, productive, efficient and beautiful ball movement and offensive possessions ?

The 7 second or less Phoenix suns of the mid-2000s?

Early 2000s Sacramento kings ?

I feel the better question is which coach has been as influential in the NBA as Guardiola has been in European soccer.

It’s Mike D’Antoni, but it’s not a like for like because Pep won everything three times over whole D’Antoni has never won an nba title. D’Antoni has never had three or four of the best best players in thE NBA in his team at the same time either.

Whoever has managed 3 teams and 2 of them teams are getting for cheating whilst he has been the manager
Pep likes to manage teams who cheat

And if that manager got done for ped's during his playing career that goes in his favour as well just like Pep

Pep is a cheater :hubie:he just gets away with it because he is a media darling

It's probably Phil and the triangle as the closest tbh.

Surely everyone getting touches lends itself more to San Antonio?

But the Spurs wasn't what I was replying too. The thing is Pep has done a number on everyone as we know heavy possession is irrelevant due to the shot clock in basketball. Moving the ball to create space and overloads is what fits in. The Barca 09 and the Citeh 100 team are more like Basketball teams because they had the athleticism and pace in their play more than the Barca 11 or the Citeh false 9 teams that was more about control.

Spurs and Pre-KD Warriors are the best 2 ball moving teams I've seen.

Pep and Phil is the real answer because of the triangles used in their respective set ups. Both needed high level talent and IQ players to make sure they could execute the system properly. When they dont have those players the system fails. Like everyone whose been associated with Phil has failed with the triangle when they used it when coaching. They also managed to maximise their best scorers. MJ Shaq Kobe Etoo Messi Lewandowski Haaland Aguero. Even tho the system isn't really designed to be dependent on one main scorer it's for the open player.

Coaching doesn't matter as much in basketball. 90% of the time the best players are gonna win no matter who the coach is.

I don't know if I agree with that. If you look at the last 20 nba champions for example, Can you really say 90% of them are champs simply because they had the best players?
