Probably Spurs but I don't think basketball lends itself to heavy possession based play.

Soccer and Ice hockey are pure heavy possession and pursuit sports. You have to constantly fight for possession and control of the ball/puck. You have to go hard at the ball/puck carrier. No shot clock in both of these sports, so teams can hold the puck/ball as much as they want and keep the other team from having it.
Basketball is in between stop/start sports like football/baseball and free flowing unlimited possession sports like hockey/soccer. In Basketball, teams can’t have heavy and unlimited ball possession because of the shot clock. So the shot clock turned the sport into a back and forth sport because every team a time scores or commits a shot clock violation, they have to relinquish ball possession back to the opposing team. So the goal for teams is to get the most out of their limited time ball possession, exploit mismatches, focus on heavy/collective/unselfish ball movement, counter-attack on the transition, force turnovers, find open space/angles and move the ball as quick and efficiently as possible until they find open shooters. Teams have to do all these things under 12 seconds(after getting their own offensive rebound and second scoring opportunity) or under 24 seconds. They can’t be patient and take all their time in basketball, they have to execute efficiently and score quickly. They can’t hog the ball too long and hold the ball away from the opposing team. In the 1950s, many people complained about this and that’s why at that time, the League permanently implemented the 12/24 second shot clock and the shot clock violation.
Baseball and gridiron American football = stop and start sports. Teams alternate between offensive and defensive modes. In baseball the hitters have to hit the ball and get on bases/steal bases/go home, in football the offensive possession of the ball is gaining yards with the rushing and passing game. You gain yards by passing and running. So no extended and unlimited possessions there.
Brooklyn Nets big three iso ball. It was glorious for about 11-17 games or so.
scary hours in Brooklyn circa 2021
