pharrell helped him on his first album without a doubt, but cry me a river was still bigger than all of those songs.

since then timbo has basically made him. people are trippin in whatever thread you're talking about.

the funny thing is i think pharrell is a much better producer than timbaland too, but there's no denying what he has done for timberlake's career.
