i have some questions to ask you.

1. when did you guys get engaged and how many years of dating did the both of you do before getting engaged ?
2. how did you make it work being away from each other in college ?
3. have you ever cheated on each other ?
4. was your partner a virgin when you two met ?
5. did you start having sex with each other in high school or during college ?
6. how did you make your relationship still interesting/spice up through out all these years ?

Two of my friends married their HS sweet heart.

I know 1 of them cheated in his mid-20s.
The other dude, I'm not sure about.

Both dudes are still married tho.

I suspect that he just wanted something different.
By the time he was in his mid-20s, he was already a good 9-10 years together with his girl. I don't remember how many years into the marriage.

I think it's probably the same thing with a lot of couples...
People are together for a while...it gets stale...start to bicker...you're still young and you wanna have fun and shyt.

I don't know if she ever did anything, but I do know that they're happily married at this point.

Maybe most people would have called it quits at the cheating (I think she suspected it, but I don't know if she officially ever caught him). But they seem to have gotten past all that. I mean this was 10 years ago now..

I don't know.

But I know they were having problems at the time and women aren't stupid. She had to have at least thought that maybe he had messed around.

What Is It About Marrying Your First Love?
  • The biggest fear that parents have of their children marrying young, as a teen, is that they will become a parent too early.
  • Less than 2% of all marriages are actually to a high school sweetheart.
  • Many people end up not marrying their high school sweetheart because it isn’t a love for another person that they are feeling, but it is instead a love of freedom and exploration.
  • Relationships that have some sort of spiritual component to them are much more likely to succeed, even if there are contrasting religions or spiritual emphasis in the relationship.
  • In 1970, the average age of a first-time bridge was just 21 years of age.
  • All marriages have seen a decline in divorce rates over the past 30 years.
  • According to some research, couples who meet in school are less likely to divorce than couples who met in any other setting.

edit:
I did. We split in HS and got back together about eight years later after I found her on MySpace.

:ohhh:
