Yeah, I remember that shyt.

Wonder why The Corner is not on HBOGO?

Idk I think it might be licenceing issue, I know for a fact they used to rerun on it on BET a long time ago

The show was very well received got a bunch of emmy nominations I think that's what made them pursue the Wire

Finally got my hands on this. Great precursor to the wire. I found it tough to watch though. So realistic I didn't know this was a scripted show until actors I recognized started showing up. Got 1 episode left to watch. I hope DeAndre doesn't get killed.

rome had very strong lead characters...overall the show was boring imo

the corner was a great show...just “one-dimensional” when you compare it to the wire in that it only focused on “the corner”...which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as I sometimes felt that the wire stretched itself thin @ times (I was often bored w/ the political and judicial aspects of the show even tho I understand why those areas were covered)

I watched this years ago but it's been so long I think I could rewatch it like I'd never seen it.

Might try and find it

Yea, I bailed after the first episode of Rome. I was looking for a show on the Roman Empire because I dont know much about it but I think I'm better off finding a good documentary.

I watched it cuz I needed a “fix” after spartacus ended...someone recommended this show and said it was a more serious depiction of rome...I was able to marathon it since it ended years before spartacus even aired if memory serves me correctly...idk how historically accurate it was/wasn’t but from an entertainment standpoint if left a lot to be desired...wasn’t horrible just a really slow burn...I was invested enough in the 2 main characters to keep watching
