Who taught you how to be a man? Father, uncle, etc

My dad was always in my life but truth be told he never really "taught" me much. He came a pretty bad background ( 5 brothers, 1 mother, 2 diff fathers. Lived in the projects) then decided to join the army and now he does well for himself financially. He was more of a provider. Never was really affectionate.

Never said two words about women, finances, school, all that. The most he says now about what i have going on is "Well, handle ya business son." Im just always said ok. Almost had a kid at 15 when i lost my virginity. Dodged that bullet on my ownalong with a whole bunch of other BS im sure everyone goes through in life..basically learned from trial and error

Who taught yall nikkas man or who did yall look up to? Im happy with how i turned out bc i see how some of my friends act now, but still.

but for affection..... fukking with older women... skipping grades and only dating older when i was young taught me much about women and love.

one of them gave me the auto bio of malcom x ( and i read it too -because he was later killed and reading it made me feel better because i got it from him. ) That book led to many things that lead to me
