Samuel has a more extensive body of work but, I personally feel that Densel has a more solid body of work...So I'll go with Denzel.

Sam. I like Denzel but it honestly feels like he is the same damn person all the time with the same facial expressions while sam changes to a diffeeent person.
Denzel is a GREAT actor and he gets chosen for GREAT roles. He is seen as more versatile because of the quality of his films
But Samuel L Jackson has more range. Range = getting out of yourself and portraying a character.
Denzel would NOT be a believable Uncle Tom slave like Samuel L in DJango. Denzel was never a badass like Samuel L in Pulp Fiction. Denzel could not pull off that character in Black Snake Moan

With Sam I feel he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Even in movies he's not the star in, he tends to completely take over the movie.
Hell even his role in coming to america is one of the most memorable scenes in the whole movie.

denzel dosen't like to get loose with his characters, he is always injecting some weird christian code into his roles. sam goes all out with his characters. with the attitude, the look, the language everything sam got this one. sam is the champ
