Considering the celtics have their pick and its top 7 protected I'm not sure what they are doing... They've done enough to not be a tanking team and basically give Boston a mid to late lottery pick

Seems like Cuban is trying to prove a point. Like he takes care of his players or something. I think he's trying to build a culture of a place players will always want to look at when they are free agents because he pays his players well, has great accommodations/facilities, and he tries to win.

There's a salary floor in the NBA. They have to meet a team minimum salary and since they struck out on Deandre, they upped the other offers so they aren't heavily penalized for not spending enough and meeting the minimum team salary requirements.

Well for one he has to stay above the tax floor or he is going to owe money...so whatever Deandre was being paid on a yearly basis he now has to give that out to someone else on a yearly basis...

And yeah cuban and donny are a pretty bad owner gm combo...they just caught lightening in a bottle and had one of the most magical playoff runs ever...

The mavs have been horrible at drafting players...and then they always trade the players that they do draft...and now they never get big named free agents...

Nothing new they have been like this since they wont the title
