How you leave college early to be a mid-2nd round pick?

Andrew Harrison

Dakari Johnson

I know you trying to get paid, but the D-League aint paying that well

:dame:

Do either one of these guys have a future in the league?

:lupe:
Their playing well in the D League. Both players need development. Might as well get paid for it. Andrew is two years away from being NBA ready. The D League is great for that since he's still not close. Johnson has been one of the better bigs but the D League has always been weak in terms of bigs. Most good bigs who don't play in the NBA, play overseas.

Could have stayed at Kentucky and improved their draft position.

Would have gotten paid more a year later than whatever they earn in the D-League

I don't think coach Cal wanted the Harrison's starting again. They were going to get Poythress treatment. If it wasn't for having a good combine and the games in the combine. Andrew wouldn't have been drafted.

Calipari did them a favor pushing them out the door. Otherwise they wouldnt have been drafted at all.

Here's the deal UK sends these guys to the NBA because they will be replaced...If they stay typically they become a reserve or they just weren't really of NBA Ilk to begin with.

No guarantee this would have happened

If Harrison came back he would have split time with Ulis/Murray, and probably would not have played that many minutes.

At the time Dakari was entering the draft, Kentucky was bringing in the #1 HS big men in the country and potential top 2 pick, in hindsight it turns out Skal isn't that good but Dakari was probably thinking the same thing he wasn't going to be playing much because of Skal.

Last year was best chance for them to get drafted
