We have to be honest with ourselves. 95% of people are fairly ignorant, and it becomes dangerous when you have shows that take unaccomplished people who are of a specific ethnicity and used those people to serve as proxy representatives for these ethnicities. The gift of the curse of the internet age is everyone gets a voice, thus you have idiots who tend to be the loudest ones in the room and end up misrepresenting people thus further pushing stereotypes.
I`m not against this discussion or these types of discussions my issue is they let any and everyone partake in these discussions. I'm not against anyone having an opinion on something no matter how ignorant they are (the joys of free speech), my issue is these platforms like Grapevine are seen as platforms to promote progress amongst black people and I feel it does everything but that.
