The best fighter in the series is Theokoles, the Shadow of Death.
My list would be:
1. Theokoles - According to Oenomaus. Theokoles toyed with him, and only when he became bored did he decide to cut him up.
This comic book backstory for him is fukked up
2. Oenomaus - Only man to survive a 1 v 1 with Theokoles. Also, when he was training Crixus and Spartacus to fight Theokoles he was toying with them at the same time. They couldn't do anything even though it was 2 against 1.
3. Gannicus - If anything Gannicus and Oenomaus may be tied for that second spot but when they fought in the arena even though Gannicus ultimately had him down and was going to kill him at the end of the episode. In the beginning of their fight Oenomaus kicked out his leg and was going for the killing strike when one of the no name Gladiators stepped in allowing Gannicus to move out of the way. Oenomaus may have had him beat and all that with his hands chained together and with a dull blade and after days of torture at the hands of Ashur.
4. Caburus - The gladiator that was the best gladiator in the new house of Solonius in the prequel's final episode. In that battle royal he fought both Gannicus and Crixus at the same time and when he had Crixus on his own he cut open his stomach and was going to kill him, luckily for Crixus, Gannicus saved his ass.
5. Spartacus / Crixus / The Egyptian - Spartacus never beat Crixus in a real 1 v 1 match that didn't involve something weakening Crixus. And most of Crixus victories over Spartacus were early on. Not sure even how to rank the Egyptian as he seems to really have just been entered into the show to have someone that could deal with a weakened Oenomaus.
6. Crassus - Gave a good fight at the end there.
7. Agron - Not at the same level as the Champion level Gladiators or even Crassus.
8. Caesar - Beat by Gannicus multiple times, was beating by Agron, smacked around by Crassus, can't be higher than this.
100. Ashur
