I never found either of them pretentious, to me Keith just seemed like he was having fun and messing around, I don't think he was trying to be perceived as intelligent with the made up words and shyt, was just flavour. And Kurupt was like a freestyler, he would freestyle a lot of shyt, so at times he would ramble a little.
