I think it was scheme, the d cord was schizophrenic with how he wanted to use peppers, but he had the size and spead to be better, but he was always around the ball, he just didn't make the splash plays folks were looking for

As for this year idk who will get the hype or love

The answer is Derwin James. ESPN ranked best player in the country despite not playing a single competitive snap since blowing out his knee.:dwillhuh:Talking bout he can be a gamebreaker on offense :gucci: Heisman hype :mindblown: All for a DB with a single career interception who looks like he'll be positionless at the next level:deadrose:

Sounds EXACTLY like Jabrill to me :heh:

Im a FSU fan and I actually agree. He got hurt last year so I cut him slack but this year I'm trying to see what about him people see. I saw @no1es run this say he better than Ramsey was but I haven't seen as many plays from him personally. Felt like when Ramsey played every 2 seconds hes batting the ball down

You can't be a FSU fan and type this. Ramsey was a 3 year starter at CB and had 3 total ints (none his Jr yr). Jalen started just as many games his first year as Derwin has in his career. I'd take Derwin's first 14 starts over Jalen's. 102 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, 1 int, and 2 forces fumbles for Derwin vs 49 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 int, and 1 forced fumble for Jalen. Derwin's name should never be brought up in any discussion regarding overrated players. Show me Peppers first 14 games stats and see how asinine this comparison is.

Chill i didnt refer to him as overrated, I just need to see more and have him show us what he's bout. Plus those numbers aren't really indicative of one being better than the other, of course a safety is going to get more tackles and sacks than a corner.

I'm going to be watching closely and hoping and praying he's the best secondary player in the country like they are saying he is, but as is I'm nervous about it because I personally haven't seen enough, especially after the injury.

Use your own logic then. If a safety is supposed to have more sacks and tackles, then a CB is supposed to have more pass deflections. You personally haven't seen enough, huh? Name a stud safety in the last 10 years and post their stats from their first 14 starts. I would love to see where your measurement starts.

Kobe snitched on Shaq
People who dont like Jabrill peppers or think he wasnt a difference maker never played the sport and dont know football.

He pretty much took away one side of the defense and set the edge in a blitz orientated offense where he had to play linebacker even though hes more of a safety

Still he beat Colorado and Michigan State pretty much by himself and had OSU offense on lock down.

Hes already showing himself to be an elite player in preseason.

Anyways ima let you cook cuz football aint your thing
