I cant decide if a rookie qb is a significant drop off from 
Payton.
But, you have to expect a handful of bonehead plays from the rook that the Panthers should be able to capitalize on, and if/when Denver fall behind its a wrap.

I had the Broncos in the Super Bowl at +200 and I think the Panthers win now......
Rookie QB in a revenge game. I think the panthers don't have 4 turnovers (3 fumbles and 1 int as they did in the Super Bowl) this game and you see the Panthers win by a 6-7.
You win the Turnover margin by 2 as the Broncos did in the Super Bowl and you pretty much have an 83 percent chance of winning. I think that changes tomorrow night.
While I do think Cam is due for some regression this year and Carolina's incredible turnover luck (turnovers are mostly random & turnover margins change drastically year to year) will regress this season (as it did in the Superbowl) what needs to be considered is that defenses typically don't play as consistently year to year. A good offense is more consistent than a good defense year to year (hence those 2000s Colts teams being built the way they were and always in contention because of Peyton) As great as Denver's D is they're also due for some regression. How is Taalib looking after being shot? Von Miller still is a problem. Wade Phillips is still great but you can't expect that type of dominance they had last year to carry over.
I think this is good spot for Carolina. Carolina has the 49ers at home after this and the Broncos have the Colts.
