I heard Hate Me Now, met East personally. I actually like his album. But he can't fukk with Ave. he's not top 5 in the city no way no how.

East has a good image, marketing and cosigns, and a style that's easy to comprehend. He's not creative, or unique as a Ferg, eXquire, or Flatbush Zombies... He's not lyrical as a Roc Marc, or KA... He's got basic hood nikka bars, for basic hood nikkas. I get why he's talked about he's doing everything right. But he's not a MONSTER... He's not special, just right place right time. And I'm saying that as a fan.

I like Troy Ave too but I don't understand how people think he's better than East. NYC The Album & BSB Vol. 4 are personal classics but Ave's music is always hit and miss for me.

I do think East sounds repetitive but that's cause he keeps releasing freestyles every couple days. He ain't no lyrical monster but I just relate to what he's talking about. If that makes me a "basic hood nikka" then so be it

Ave can do more, he has more charisma on the track and he switches his flow up more than EAst.

Ave can get on a track and sing and that shyt will be funny and clever.

East ain't got that versatility that Ave has.

East couldn't make a diss track like "Nobody Cares" he ain't got the comical ability and skill. He's very monotone.

Exactly, it's easy to understand why he's being marketed. Maybe he's been dumbing his bars down the whole time, nothing I've heard from him (I heard Hate Me Now as well) leads me to believe that though.

I can. Dave East might be nicer lyrically but Ave can make better songs. With nice hooks that are catchy And I don't even like Ave like that.

Dave East is ok to listen to when you're trying to hear a NY rapper just rap bars but Ave is just better at making songs. East is someone I'd just rather hear freestyle than actual music TBH
